Rio – Antirrio by ship

Despite the construction of the bridge, vessels still cross the Rio – Antirrio route in a 24 hour basis. Many of the passengers choose the ship while the crossing costs (most of the times) cheaper than the bridge. It is also the magnificent view of the bridge which makes many passengers (especially tourists) to travel by ship in order to enjoy the view and take photoshots.

Most of the Rio – Antirrio vessels are newbuilt and fast making the way of travelling even easier.

It is worth to note that passengers travel for free while only motors, vehicles and trucks are charged. This means that any passenger can make a small cruise for free!

Docks

Depending of the winds ships embark and desembark from the West side or the East side docks. Reaching the port you can find the indicating sign about the operating dock.  East and West docks are on a five to ten minute walking distance.
