More than 100% raise in Patras Marina visitors
Patras Marina is becoming more and more popular after the management was transfered to the Municipality of Patras. It seems that Municipality really cares about the Marina and this can be prooved if somebody realize the change and maintenance works that take place in Western Greece marina.
Since the Municipality of Patras owned the Marina (January 2011) a big efford for impoovement and marketing actions took place and this seems that worked. The results began in early summer while a generous raise in visitors boats seemed to happen in May. However nobody was expecting the huge boost in June arrivals which are now estimated to reach 107% comparing to last years arrival. June 2011 arrivals have also been exceeded.
The Municipality of Patras and the Marina office have began a project for new berth place construction in order to be able to serve the big demand. Also Patras Marina is trying to impoove the services and berth places for Motor Yachts in order to make the Marina much more convenient.
